My experience as an elementary school teacher for over 30 years, has allowed me to develop many strategies for working with children of all ages. Since retiring, I've enjoyed having time to share my love of writing with children (and adults) and am available for live or virtual presentations.
I've taught workshops, made bookstore appearances, and presented in many classrooms -- from kindergarten through grade ten -- as well as at assemblies for entire student bodies. I've even put on sessions for parents on how to help their child become a better reader.
In addition, as a Jewish author, I'm dedicated to highlighting the importance of diversity in publishing and children seeing themselves in the pages of the books they read. I often speak about this topic and others for kidlit publications and organizations such as the Children’s Book Academy, the California School Library Association, the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators (SCBWI) and GilaGreenWrites.com.
